Interventional Cardiology

Opening blocked arteries and restoring blood flow to the heart through minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures.

Procedures & treatments

  • Coronary angiography (radial & femoral)
  • Coronary angioplasty & stenting (PCI)
  • Complex PCI — left main & bifurcation
  • Chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI
  • Primary angioplasty for heart attack
  • IVUS- & OCT-guided angioplasty
  • Intravascular lithotripsy (IVL)
  • FFR / IMR physiology assessment

Conditions treated

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Heart attack (STEMI / NSTEMI)
  • Angina & chest pain
  • Chronic total occlusions
  • In-stent restenosis
  • Multivessel disease

Approach

Dr. Gautam performs the full range of coronary interventions, with particular depth in the high-risk, calcified and totally-occluded lesions that many centres refer onward. Every case is planned with intracoronary imaging (IVUS/OCT) and physiology (FFR/IMR) where it changes the decision.

For heart attack, timely primary angioplasty restores flow to the blocked artery and limits damage to the heart muscle — a service that depends on speed and cath-lab experience.
